SEPTA Commuter Stabbed To Death On Train Platform, Police Say

A 30-year-old man is dead after being stabbed at the Somerset SEPTA station in Kensington on Monday morning, April 1, Philadelphia police say.

Officers rushed to the sound of a screaming man on the westbound platform to find the victim with a single stab wound to the chest, PPD said. He was taken to Temple University Hospital where he died just after 9 a.m., authorities said.

One person is in custody and a weapon has been recovered, police said.
